i just aquired this 70 2 door wildcat

ps pb bench seat #,s matching 455(claimed to have 44,524 miles)

Permit an old man a slight historical correction. 1967 was the start of exhaust emission equipment, so a 1970 car could have stuff like air pumps on it.

Emission equipment is more than A.I.R. pumps, I think open PCV systems were used since 1963, closed PCV systems were already used in California in 1965 (and maybe before),

The A.I.R. (smog pump) was already used on 1966 models in California, 1968 was the first year for the "Controlled Combustion System" (heated air cleaner) and no smog pumps that year in California. The closed PCV became standard in all states in 1968 instead of the open PCV with a breather oil cap which was previously used.

The A.I.R. became standard in 1972 in all states and Canada. The A.I.R. pump was again gone in 1975 with the new catalytic converter.

1971 is the year where the power began to drop, because the compression ratio was lowered to allow using regular unleaded fuel.
