ROA Updates

Today, former director Sean Cahill of the ROA informed the board of trustees that they decided not to publish a November/December issue of the Riview. Our new interim director/editor Ray Knott has prepared a Jan/Feb Riview and will be ready to be sent to the printer very shortly. As of today, Sean Cahill has not turned over any of the assets to the board of trustees. The trustees are working very hard on the re-organization and we ask for your patience and understanding.

THANK YOU,

ROBERT BONTO

PRESIDENT,BOARD OF TRUSTEES

I would just like to add a little to what Bob Bonto said earlier. We have been preparing the Jan/Feb issue, with the expectation that the previous Editor was completing work on the Nov/Dec Riview. Now we know that will not happen. I want to reassure everyone that they will not miss an issue and that they will receive the full six issues that they subscribed to. I want to thank everyone who has sent me material, which has made it possible to produce an issue from scratch.

I suggest that members check our web site periodically to read my updates as our reorganizatiion progresses. In the meantime our new office in Altoona IA is open and ready to serve you in a prompt and efficient manner.

Thank you all for your assistance and support.

Bob and Ray,

I would publically like to thank you both for all of your hard work in getting the ROA back on track. I know that this transition time has to be a very difficult situation to deal with. All of the ROA and BCA members that I have talked with are 100% behind you guys, and we all know that it will take some time to get the ship turned around. With the type of people we have as director, board members and office staff, I think it would be safe to say the future of the ROA looks bright!

A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

Right on, Tim. Don't like thinking of myself as a quitter, For me the Riviews were not a problem, but the inability to retrieve archived tech info was.. I was deadset on dropping my active membership until this excellent positive news was released. I have now renewed for two more years. Thanks Ray and All for sticking your necks out. Steve M

  • 3 weeks later...

Since there will not be a Nov/Dec issue, renewal dates are being extended. The new renewal dates will be printed above the members name on the mailing label of the next Riview. The Jan/Feb Riview is at the printers and we expect it will take approximately three weeks to be mailed. When I have a better estimate I will post it.

I am now preparing the March/April issue and if you have any tips, stories, photos or classified ads now is the time to send them in to me at ray@rivowners.org. I am trying to keep the classified section current so if your ad needs to be uppdated or deleted, please let me know.

In a few days I will also be posting detail information on our annual meet to be held June 25-28th in Asheville NC, so keep checking.

Almost everything is going well, however, we still have not been able to establish a new PayPal account. We are still waiting for the old account to be closed. So for now do not send any money to ROA via PayPal, it will not be sent to us.
