AnthonyLo
I just posted a similar request in the tech section - sorry for any duplication. The car is in excellent condition inside and out. Everything works but now I can't drive it because of a problem I ran into when towing. I towed it to Connecticut from Virginia (about 300 miles) with the rear wheels trailing.I found out after doing this that the transmission wasn't getting any lubrication. And in fact, it was extremely hot and smoking a little. The car will still go forward and reverse, only there is a jolt after a few feet like a brake is being tapped.I've been told not to drive it to avoid any "additional" transmission damage.Any idea how extensive this problem might be? What parts I might need? Anything unusual about fixing this transmission that a guy from a place like AAMCO would need to know? Unfortunately, I do not have a trunk full of cash to get this done.Your advice is very much appreciated.Thanks,-Anthony.
Guest BJM
Anthony,I would post on the Cadillac LaSalle website. Not a lot of action here. If that is what you are referring to by the "Tech" section then you probably already have an answer.
