1966 Chrysler Newport Optional Brake Cylinder?

I am the second owner of a unrestored original Newport. I have a question for your guys above possible optional brake cylinders. I ran into this while looking for a seals kit.

The shop manual shows Kelsey or Bendix brake cylinders for this car with 4-wheel drum brakes. The manual - and NAPA - show only a single cavity master cylinder with single port.

My car has an original [power brakes] master cylinder with two cavities, thus two lines coming out. At the ports the casting has an F and an R for front and rear circuits. These two lines go to a second downline valve block. This valve block has six ports: two for accepting the master cylinder lines, two discharge lines to the front wheels, a single line discharging to the rear wheels tee, and a sixth ort with a dead or dummy cap on it (possible option not included with this car?).

None of the tech data I have available including a 66 shop manual shows any of this stuff. The car's VIN is CL23G63323315.

Can any of you guys share any possible dealer insite into this? Perhaps this was a mid-year change or a later sixties option that may have been installed at some time by the original [deceased] owner.

Cheers fron NC! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Hey Terry:

Perhaps the owner had his dealer do it when the safer dual cylinder came out?

Sure didn't wanna have to buy a whoole 'nother service manual for just servicing the brakes.

Thanks for your reply.
