How do you remove steering wheel from '36 Ford

Dear John,At the bottom of the steering column there is a round CAN with a wire bail holding it in place,remove the bail,pull the CAN out,you will now see the end of the horn rod and a small horseshoe shaped clip.Have someone push down on the horn button while you remove the clip.NOW you can remove the horn rod from the inside of the car,if your LUCKY you can put the top down and have PLENTY of room,at this point the steering column may have to be dropped to gain more room <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> be VERY careful while pulling the rod out so not to bend the shaft.NOW you can back the nut off and with the appropriate puller get the wheel off.Take Care.diz <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
