Electrical Gremlin Update.......I'm making progress though!

HI all.....I had previously posted about two electrical bugs. One was that my turn signals didnt flash despite all good bulbs. Turns out it was the flasher unit under the dash. Now, for some weird reason when I use my left blinker, there is an extra bulb that comes on and stays on whenever you have the left turn signal going.(I'm referring to the driver's side front) Just behind the turn signal bulb is a 194NA bulb, then after this orange bulb is a bigger bulb (that points to that corner of the car - not sure of the p/n) but this is the bulb that is coming on with the turn signal. Other side is ok...it's only this side.

What should I check for??

Thanks again, Kit / 90 Reatta

This is a halogen 890 bulb. Your right side is probably out. These are cornering lights, common in Buicks and Cadillacs. They pretty much shine light in the direction you're turning.

Kind of like a Tucker <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

They're somewhat a pain to get, but I've recently read that Autozone has them. I know for sure the dealer can get them but must be ordered.

Thanks for the reply F14....

That's really weird (to me anyways) that the cornering lights come on with the turn signals.

I can see them coming on with the parking lights or headlights though.....

Anyways, I will check the other cornering light bulb because you're probably right. (that it is burn out)

By the way, I found the 890's at my neighborhood NAPA. Turns out it's a regular stock item and costs about $8.50 each. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks, Kit /90 Coupe

Yep, you were correct F14 (right side bulb was indeed burned out)

They're not the easiest bulb to replace though.....:(
