Still here, working on my site and piecing together the History of Packard as best I can. For now all I have up is a few old pictures of Plant someplace in Detroit,MI. As I get something more concrete I'll let you guys know. LOL I hope you enjoy what I have got up and check back ever so often to see what I found new. I am making a open call to anyone that has a photo of his or hers favorite packard or what they my think is a rare photo of a packard to send it to me and I will do my best to use it when I start the Packard section of my site. As awlways your feedback is welcome! OK back to the salt mines. Until then enjoy the Packard Factory!

Randy, I like the layout and direction of content of your website.

Please don't fall victim to the lure of advertizing money and start sticking ads in prominent places, like so many websites do (including this AACA site).

If you do, it's no longer an artistic creation, but becomes a Billboard, and we have Too many of those Already.

Here is a picture from inside the Packard factory at Warren Ohio. A row a Packard 1902 model F's.

Hope you can use that on your web site Randy.

I know what you mean by to many advertisers. I hope that the one I have now will be the only one I ever have to put on the site. I origionally didnt want any ads on the site but I see now that as it grows I will need to offset the cost of it. So the ad is on there. Thanks for all the good words and thanks for checking it out.

JT: Thanks for posting the link to that web site, and taking some time to explore that treasure house full of priceless Packard pictures, and posting some of them. I came on to that site about four or five months ago while doing some research.

Great pictures. Is it me or is that last one look a little odd (the one with 9277 on the bottom). The cars look superimposed in the frame, the perspective of the second car is off, and there are funny shadows. Plus, for a factory, its a little antiseptic looking.

Not looking to start anything just a comment.... I've seen tons of true Ford factory promotional photos that were doctored.

Could be they were trying to show a line which was 'fuller' than it really was at the time.

I agree with you on the photo looking doctored, I wish I knew if the cars were on the first floor or up higher. The upper floors from the new photos I have gotten show that the floors were wood, and in this photo they appear to be concrete. I wish I lived closer so I could check it out for myself.

While I have enjoyed all of the photos submited for this topic The photos I love the most are the ones that the factory workers are attempting to hold white sheets behind the cars. So that the photographer can get his publicity photo. In the early days it would seem Packard was more interested in building a great car and not much else. Publicity was a second thought as you can tell from the photo.

I have visited the Yesdetroit site and that's where I got alot of the pics I have posted on my site. I have the webmasters permission as I have posted on the very bottom of my page. I am content with what photos I have up. I have more to post later just dont seem to have the time to do it. But thanks for the links.

Peter Heizmann: Prey god what are you doing deleting the posts of Tbird, BigKen, and ALK. Big Kevin was only pointing out the truth about the site. I certainly don't get along with ALK but I couldn't see any reason why his post got deleted, he said nothing wrong. You concerning the posts that Turbpackman and I made I failed to see anything in both posts that would have cause for them to just disapear into thin air. You must be tyin to hide the fact that PH made his way back into the forum. You should be thanking Eric and me for being able to spot him.

Peter: All you had to do was delete Peter Hartmann's post, that I am sure would have been the end of it. That being said, you are still wrong with what you did with the other posts in this thread pertaining to a site posted, and the following remarks, about the site.So that no one can say that I am trying to hijack this thread, any comments you want to make to me please take them the rants raves section.
