Guest imported_PackardV8 Posted August 12, 2006 Share Posted August 12, 2006 I noticed that the RIGHT side idler arm (it bolts to the frame rail and supports the center tie rod) seems as if it will UNscrew?????? Or to put it another way, after it is removed from the frame i can turn the arm until it stops but in the other direction it just seems to keep turning without stopping. Seems to me that i have replaced these (on other car makes) but do not remeber there being a stopping point. If i remeber right they just turn round and round. What am i missing here??? Guest Albert Posted August 12, 2006 Share Posted August 12, 2006 there are two styles one has a rubber bushing that you replace, the other the type idiler arm is threaded to the support and the "nut" in the arm is removable from the arm. on this typr one ir right handed thread and the other part is left handed..
