dkhall
To all who answered last week's questions, thanks. It's amazing the knowledge in this club. My question is that I lost my brake fluid on my 47 Windsor 6 cyl over the winter. Now I have absolutely no brakes. This weekend I'm going to check the lines but if it's the master cylinder, how hard is it to remove? I see they are relatively cheap to buy or rebuild. I just wasn't what the steps were in repairing and/or replacing?ThanksLtCol Dwight Hall, USAF
Guest De Soto Frank
None of it is rocket science....Would highly recommend getting a factory shop manual, if you do not already have one.Reprints run about $30 and are available from Bernbaum ( www.oldmoparts.com) and Roberts (www.robertsmotorparts.com). among others. You might try filling the MC with fresh brake fluid and pumping the pedal a few times and seeing of there is an obvious leak somewhere...Good luck !
