24coupe
I am looking for information on identifying a pair of kerosene headlights possibly Chalmers.
Layden B
Early Chalmers had carbide gas headlamps and kerosene side and tail lamps, many were marked with the CMC logo or Chalmers name spelled out. Picture would be most helpful.
24coupe
I will try and post 4 pictures of the side lights. Hope someone can help me with the year and a cost of what they are worth. Thanks in advance for any help. Rick S. Yahoo Photos.
Layden B
Typical Chalmers logo on the side. Look to have been nickel trim top, door rim and font, with painted black body. Just a guess as I am not the Chalmers expert but would say quite likely 1913 only ( bail handles earlier and electric headlamps without sidelamps starting 1914). Could possibly be used on a 1911 or 1912 car by adding bails and stripping off the nickel plating. E-bay auction would determine sale value!!!
