rear window convertible

the metal connection that attaches the rear window to the top (one on each side that pivots so top can fold down) has seperated from the window on one side. It seperated right where it attaches to the window leaving a small portion on the window and the rest attached to the pivot arm. I have tried cementing the two pieces together with a number of bonding agents but they all seem to give away probably due to the fact that the surfaces are small and are starined every time the top goes up/down. Right know I am trying to baby that area each time I open/close but it leaks in the rain etc. Any one have any ideas?

ps. I got the car with this condition but it is another reason to be very gentle when we lose our tops! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
