Guest imported_Speedster
I found that the Clutch Pressure Plate in '29 645 has two hairline cracks that go all the way thru the 1/2" thick plate. So I'm trying to find a good replacement? The Super-8 clutch parts are made differently than the Standard-8 parts. I guess the ol' straight-8 was Puttin out Tooo Much Horsepower for the poor clutch to handle. Thanks for the help,

Tom M
Rick,Glad to hear you found one. Is it new or old stock?
Guest imported_Speedster
Even tho it looks like it has been banged around on the shelf for many years, it is Newer stock, since it is made from Ductile cast-iron (which is much better) , not the original type Gray cast-iron (which was used in the '20s & '30s). The Ductile is an improved alloy mixture and is a lighter gray color.
