cole18cars
was wondering if running straight distilled water in a 39 Ply with a rust inhibator will lower the running temp of the car? Right now it runs a little hot, but I want to see if this is a solution vs, water pump, head gasket, radiator etc? Also, what is a rust inhibator, and where is it found? ted sweet
maybe a few degrees, but it also will lower the boiling point.
Guest carlnut50
Add a can of water wetter to your cooling system. It has less surface tension than water and can therefore conduct more heat from the block to the coolant and from the coolant to the radiator. The flathead Ford guys are very familiar with it.
