okdave
i recently discovered that the #7 cylinder on the engine of my zephyr had no spark going to the plug. i changed out plug wires with no remedy. i then checked out terminal plate expecting to find cracks or burned places on #7 terminal. the terminal plate looked perfect. i check out the terminal plate by placing lead of ohm meter into wire plug in and placing other lead on contact spike on other side. each one except #7 showed zero on ohmmeter. #7 showed a reading of one. i replaced the terminal plate and it now has proper spark on #7. i guess the point to this story is you cant always tell a bad terminal plate by looking. i guess the brass contact in the terminal plate was broken inside someway. david
