imported_Phil Knapp
Thanks for the info, DavidI gave up looking for a radio for my '41 Zephyr project car and got a blank-out plate from Merv Adkins. My car HAD a radio at one time, but it's long gone now. The foot control switch is still on the floor, rusted solid like every other bolt and nut on the car. If you come across an extra radio, please let me know.Jake Fleming just rebuilt my distributor and coil but I don't have the engine in the car yet. I have a LONG ways to go, but I saw Jake at the Salado, Texas LCOC meet a couple of weeks ago. Like most LCOC meets these days, there was a plethora of what Dave Cole calls "used cars". All very nice cars, but not particularly interesting to this old timer!By the way, did you get your re-cast steering wheel back from the guy in PA yet?Project car photo album: http://community.webshots.com/album/547784099zrftQjSalado 2006 photo album: http://community.webshots.com/album/549334819wPOSUn
okdave
steering wheel not back yet. also since i didnt have any dash knobs i bought some inexpensive 41 ford knobs to use until i get the real thing. they are presentable and at least give the interior the appearance of being finished. there is a radio on ebay that looks pretty rough but jake can do wonders with the radios too.. david

imported_Phil Knapp
That's George Trickett's radio. I've bid on it before - up to $75, but haven't met his reserve. I guess I'll try again. Who knows, perhaps he's lowered his reserve!
