1962 Chrysler 300 almost "H"

Recommended Posts

Hi Gary,

You probably mean a two door hardtop rather than a sedan .. I also own one of these cars. It has the " H " engine, wheels and hubcaps, heavy duty suspension, 150 MPH speedo, ( you mentioned yours as a 120 speedo which was the standard speedo ) etc etc. and also tan leather upholstery.

Unfortunately there are no records documenting how many of them were built that way within the 300 Sport series. I have seen a few over the past 24 years that I have owned mine. Click here to see mine http://forums.aaca.org/misc/374249-downsized%20.JPG

Hi All.

There were actually quite a few of these made. In Sweden there is a few of them too. Even a 4 door hardtop with the 413 and 150 speedo. I don't know about Norway tho'. I own one '62 300 Sport 2 door hard-top and one convertible. None of my cars had the original engine, but I intend to go to Chrysler Historical Archives with my VIN and fendertag numbers to see if I can get any info on this. The 2 door hardtop had an automatic transmission in it when I bougt it, but do have a hole in the floor that indicate it might have been a consoll stic, standard or auto, I just don't have any info on these cars yet.

Einar in Norway, always a <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
