Olds 442
Can anyone tell me what year this cap would have been used? I was able to find "Design by Chrysler" in a diamond shaped mark at the base. Thanks, Craig
Mark Huston
I believe this is the style of cap used on Chrysler?s from their introduction in 1924 until they switched their cap style sometime in the early 1930?s. If I recall correctly I think the next style cap used on Chrysler?s was the Gazelle.
Dave@Moon
A larger version was used as a design element in the Chrysler Building.

TheMoneyPit
If it is brass it is on the early side, say 24-25ish, after that they went to pot-metal.
