.. laugh.gif I want to organize an EAST COAST TO WEST COAST CLASSIC CAR CRUIZE....

I have always wanted to drive my "rag-top" from Wilimgton, NC to San Diego by the southern route I-10. I would like to gauge INTEREST from ANYONE that would be interested in driving ALL the way, PART of the way or SOME of the way from NC to CA. My over-all goal would be to arrive in San Diego with 100+ classic cars.. ANY cars would be welcome.. If ANYONE is interested in getting with me to try and plan such an event I would welcome the help & advice. Is a first for me..I also would like to go in April of 07 time permitting.. ANYONE INTERESTED!!??

MY EMAIL ADDY IS OLDS4EVR@AOL.COM my cp is 704-467-5075.. thanks Julian..

I'm sure the weather is delightful. But my aversion to Interstate travel with brass era cars applies to all Interstates, not just I 10. I like tours in which the tourmaster has dug out county maps, found all the roads that go from Nowhere to East Nowhere, and linked them up. I can cruise (on level roads, not on hills) at 23 mph in my one-lung Cadillac or 35 in my Model T, never strain the car, and rarely bother anyone. Interstates at those speeds are boring, dangerous and illegal. Now, if I drove a bechromed, befinned behemoth from the sixties, your proposed trip might be more attractive.

Sounds like fun. Try the Great Race east to west on all secondary roads to see the country as it was before Interstate Highways. They have a Tourist Class

that does not compete for the money. Better for looking out the windows.
