zman
I wondered about a restrictor in the Zephyr engine oil return line, the line is original from what I can tell, and the inletline from the oil boss has a coil about 2/1/2 turns going tothe filter, the 5/16 return line is reduced to 1/4 inch where it enters the block above the oil pan, it has no retricting orificethat I am aware of!.What has been the practice for restricting the oil flow from the filter?Zman
DizzyDale
Dear Zman,I do not understand why you are worried about more restriction.Have you ever taken one of these lines off while the engine is running? Not a whole lot of anything going on.diz
peecher
The "restrictor" for the oil filter circuit is in the inlet fitting on the side of the filter. It is downstream from the oil pressure sending unit in the same fitting. This limits the rate of by-pass thru the filter.
