CCC
I have in my possession a 1979 Lincoln Continental. I was told it was an Opera Coupe model. I was wondering if anybody could tell me about this car's history and what kind of value does it have?
Guest imported_V12Bill
I have to assume that you have a two door auto without the spare tire hump in the trunk lid. If this is the case you have a town coupe. They were not too popular when new because the cost was only a little less than the Continentals of their era. There were fewer Town Coupes made than the Continentals or the Town Sedans. They are worth a little more than the Town Sedan and less than the Continental with condition and mileage being all important in any case. Guest imported_V12Bill
Oops!!! I just openned the attachment and saw the picture of your enquirey. It appears to have been built on the Versailes chassis and is very similar in construction and design to a version built on a Cadillac Seville chassis. There is a fellow in our local region who has one of these (Cadillac). I seem to recall seeing ads in Popular Mechanics back in the 70's for the Cadillac model. I don't know if I have ever seen a Lincoln version. Its value is what ever a willing seller would accept from a willing buyer. Bill
CCC
I was told there were only 100 ever made. The dash has a Limited Edition #77 emblem on it.
