Cabin Heat Question...

its a V-12

Recommended Posts

Inside of my '48LC gets very (hot) warm when driving. The heater switch under the dash is in the "off" position and therefore the heater under the dash appears to be off. However, I feel heat under the front seat from the seat heaters. Is there a separate switch for those seat heaters? or may I trouble someone for brief explanation as to how those under seat heaters operate? Thanks and Regards.

For some strange reason Ford put a valve on the left head to turn off the hot water flow to the heater cores. You have to stop the car, raise the hood, and shut the valve off. Other cars of the era could turn off the hot water flow from a cable or switch in the cabin of the car while at speed on the highway.
