srinaldo
We just returned from the Glidden and towed our "A" in an open trailer. I was wondering if anyone knows where to buy a wind deflector/air dam for an open trailer. Thanks, Steve
Shop Rat
Not sure about buying one. The people that I know that have one built theirs. One guy that used to own a local boat dealership/marina had his staff build a removable cover for his open trailer with waterproof canvas and aluminum framing to hold it off of the car. The others just used outdoor grade plywood and 2X4s. Some of them put hinges in the corners so that they could fold them flat for storage. Not sure what you used to tow the trailer but we will never spend money on one of the "hula skirt" style deflectors on an RV. Mostly they just float out from the RV and don't stop much. We were much happier with a deflector called a Rock Solid.
Bob Kinker
You could try a truck junkyard. Some of the 18 wheelers had a big air dam on top of the cab. Have seen people using them for a shield on open car trailers.
