DFers with vendor spaces @ Hershey

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering which DFers have vendor spaces and where they are located so that fellow DFers can look them up and greet them while flea marketing.

David - [color:\\"red\\"]WBF 4&5 (area of cross over to east end of red field) I'm usually back to my spaces by about 1:30pm. My folks tend the spaces while I look for good "fleas".

Moderators, any chance of making this a sticky until about Oct. 1st?

Our spaces are CI 8-10 look for the big Crosley banners.

Some of you probably have seen our spot. I use 4 Crosley blocks to hold down the front of our canopy. Gets a lot of comments, from that's about what they are good for to how could I ruin rare blocks (I didn't ruin them, they could be put back into service).

WF 7&8 Wayne - right up in the top corner of the White Field, just before you cross over into that little "blue field" section. Nice high ground with soft grass to drop your nut shells into. See you there - bring old spark plugs!!!

When you folks are at Hershey, take a ride over to the newly renovated AACA Library and look at the display case that features Terry Bond's amazing spark plug collection. Many do not know that the Library has a few cars on display and you can also view the National awards in the Headquarter's lobby. These are the original awards; not the trays given at Philadelphia annual meeting.

This is a great building to visit and interesting things to see. There is even a display case of Oldsmobile items.(Wonder who owns those?)

I do know that this is just the "tip of the Iceberg--rather it is the tip of the spark plugs" that Terry has collected. I also know that there are

stained glass pieces that hang in the library and the trophy case created by DFer Dan Binger. So there is soooo much to see. You folks especially should visit and look at the new roof, the painted walls, really see all that is there.

No buckets, no raindrops on anyone's head anymore.

We still have $ needs and can talk about this at our Library tent or ask Kim or any library board member. Our Library is a vital and exciting part of the hobby.

Fran-thanks for the "plug." You are correct that whats on display there is just the tip of the iceberg, but I felt that looking at several thousand of those critters might get kinda dull, so a representative sample with some advertising material is actually quite interesting.

I've always enjoyed my visits to the library, and can ditto your comments that members should go to see the facility and whats there, but more importantly to meet Kim and staff in person. We appreciate what you all do for our members through the library - you're worth every penny I've ever donated and then some!

Good luck with the auction, just wish it were later in the week so I could be there.

I will be in Antique Studebaker Row, Chocolate

Field CCN 18 - 31. My space is CCN 18 - 19. Look for the Antique Studebaker Club Tent.

I will have 3 different styles of 6 Volt Positive Ground LED bulbs. If

there are any Prewar Studebaker parts that you would like me to bring, contact me soon, as I am not going to bring my big truck. The only parts that I will be

bringing are those that people have asked for.

Ok I gave the wrong street address... it's BN 1-4... look for the big red race car hauler. I'm LIVE right now sitting here in the Blue Field and I really can't complain... I see the rain looks to be coming but it should be short lived.

I took some pics today and I hope to post them in the next 24 hours.

Neat seeing you too, Bob! You weren't half as ugly as Terry Bond said you were!

PS, don't get excited moderators, directors, and so forth. Bob and I have been swapping pictures and jokes for over a year now.

whoaaa was this fun. Seen in the photo are the puter, satellite modem in
