This car is for sale, and for anyone expressing serious interest, I will e-mail full specifications and photos. It is an older restoration from Pennsylvania, acquired by a museum in Florida, then taken to France by its subsquent owner for several years. It is now back in this country, and is for sale because it is under-utilized and its place of storage is about to be sold. Body, engine, paint, plating and interior are in excellent condition. One small pinch in fabric of top can be easily repaired by reweaving. $475K or best offer. focalplane@cfl.rr.com

I have a 1964 190 Db Mercedes and would like to know if it has value for antique car collectors. It needs to be restored but is in good condition, only 47m miles. Can you give me names of anyone you know that is knowledgeable on subject.

That original posting is 9 years old, and the

person offering the car has made only one

posting in all that time. It's doubtful that he

will ever see an inquiry in 2014.

Generally speaking, if cars for sale are overpriced,

you might call back a year or two after the original

ad and find them still unsold. Since the advertiser

neglected to include a phone number, your best bet,

if you want to track down the car, would be to

send an e-mail and hope his e-mail address is still the same.

I hope you find what you're looking for!
