studeboy1930
Was wondering what the current market value is of a good running, complete, 1930 Studebaker straight 8 engine. Thanks

studeboy1930
I am in Southern Ohio. Just trying to decide what its worth. It actually looks good just setting in the shop. People are always curious as to what it is. I am thinking someone with a 6 cylinder car would like to upgrade to an 8.

Guest 32stude
Things are usually worth what someone will pay you for it,I'll give you $50 for the engine if you deliver it to New York City
Guest stude8
What model are we talking about here? President, Commander or Dictator?Post the serial number so we can look it up and ID it. Is it complete or just a block and head? Does it run, crank over or frozen? More data will make the price clearer. Stude8

studeboy1930
Believe it or not, I still have the engines this topic was about, and have added others over the years. At this point, I will just hang onto them. Maybe my 3 boys will have an auction when I am gone so the local scrap buyer can buy the lot for $25. farkaly@sbcglobal.net
Hi there, if you still have Stude Straight 8, contact me as I could use one, preferably Commander engine 250 cube early 30's. Does not need to run, just be rebuildable. Or at minimum a block, hopefully a crank, and ideally main caps, and a head would be nice. Cracks OK. Steve, from Uncommon Engineering, Indianapolis IN Contact info is on my website.
