ARobinson Posted October 19, 2004 Share Posted October 19, 2004 For sale: 1938 Buick Special model 41 trunkback sedan; a genuine six-volt time machine with black with brown mohair; driver's GE spotlamp and period accessory amber bumper foglights; 248 cid straight 8, three speed floor shift, all working gauges, runs and drives nicely with less than 500 miles on complete engine rebuild. New parts include: main bearings, valves, valve springs, lifters, rings, water pump, clutch, starter, belts, pressurized radiator with overflow. Rod bearings converted to Clevite shell inserts. New ARP rod bolts and ARP head bolts. Assembly performed by Roush Engineering engine expert. Runs smooth and cool with good oil pressure. Fuel tank boiled and sealed by Gastank Renue. New Coker-Firestone BSW bias-ply and tubes. Includes uninstalled LeBaron-Bonney/Hampton Coach seat kit still in boxes with all new upholstery (retail: $1100). Newer door panels and headliner. Paint: clean and correct older respray with a few fixable defects. No rust.
