Pontiac59
On the suspicion that a Clipper would sooner have a manual trans than a senior car, I checked the row of parts cars I found out here to see if any had one, yesterday.Lo and behold I found a manual trans car, one out of 5. Unfortunately, so did someone else 30 years ahead of me, because the trans, steering, bellhousing were all gone. And it's been long enough there's too much crap around the car, I couldn't get into it to look up under and see if they got the flywheel but I would assume they did. So I am kind of assuming the car was a manual based on the lack of a shift indicator and that you wouldn't need to cut a hole in the floor and pull all that stuff from an Ultramatic car.So, in short, Rats! .... Packard8
A guy used to advertise ?conversion kits? in TCB that were put together from used parts?flywheel, bellhousing, tranny, driveshaft, clutch & shift linkage?everything you needed for around $800. I haven?t seen the ad lately; maybe he?s already snatched up most of the known parts? <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
