LENS31CHRYS
Hello,I am in the process of rebuilding a 1931 Chrysler CM6. I am having a heck of a time getting the steering wheel off the shaft. I have a puller and all it is doing is making marks on the back of the wheel. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help, Len
Guest imported_24Chry48
You need to spray the end of the steering column with a lubricant such as WD-40 very generously, maybe several days many times. Grab hold of the wheel from behind and pull hard as you or someone else hits the end of the steering column with a rubber hammer. Hit it hard. They can be really stubborn. I have had this method work for me, and I have broken a few wheels. Good luck.Greg Biskey
