Need help to identify car

I found the bones of an old roadster out at my farm and I'd like to try and figure out what it is. There's not much left but the frame rails and some bits of rusty sheetmetal. The frame looks like a 30s ford but I'm no expert. Here's a pic of the dash, the metal loop at the steering column notch is an old homemade bracket. Does anybody recognize it?

BTW, the little arched plaque is a metal tag that says "coasting switch underneath"

I'm just about blind from looking at car pictures seeking a match and I'm hoping that somebody here can help me solve this mystery.

TIA

This dash is almost certainly from a 1927 Chevrolet closed car. I note that you refer to it as a roadster, but open cars used a slightly different dashboard. You may have the remains of a coupe missing its top. Chevrolet relied a little too heavily on wood construction and the top may have gone the way of the wind. 1927 is too early for free-wheeling so the curved plate may have been added later for some reason. I hope this helps.
