Guest whotmewory
Anybody know where to source the clutch assembly for the Air Conditioner for a 1966 Chrysler Newport? My factory AC was running great , then I went and changed my belts (is this a coincidence?)and now my clutch sparks and squeals when I engage my AC !This factory unit has been running just fine and the car has only 86k on it. A local yocal mechanic who let the car sit for two weeks insisted the AC compressor was seized and tried to scam me into buying a whole new compressor. I want to keep the factory unit.I say BS !!! Because if I move along at about 60 mph and engage the AC for just a half minute, I already feel the chilly air - but then I turn it off 'cause it boggs the engine down a bit and I don't wanna damage anything .Cheers from (Whiskey) STILL dry Yadkin County, NC!
