fatboy
Yesterday me and my brother tried fixing my massive exhaust leak, and we had to unhook my battery so we cold weld. Well that didnt work. But i hooked my battery back up and cranked the car up and then my ac was working cold again. Why is that?
padgett
When you have an a/c failure "something" in the BCM volatile memory is set that prevents it from turning on untill it resets (when power is interrupted). May be a discrete that can be set via the CRT but I have not had occasion to look for it.
Howard
You did not state what year Reatta you have. On my 89 if the A/C has a more than slight loss of pressure, the BCM shuts the unit down. In order for the A/C to turn on again, the codes have to be cleared via the CRT. Like Padget said, I bet by disconnecting the battery, you reset the codes. I would check it now to see if you need an A/C charge. Howard
