Wiper Arms and Blades

I need wiper arms and blades for my '46 sedan. Where do you get them?

Try Vintage Ford in sacramento, I got mine there allot cheaper than trying to get nice originals and you cant tell the difference.

I had this same problem. I thought the wiper arms would be the same as for Ford of the same year. Wrong. The Ford arms have a bend in them to clear the Ford windshield frame. The Ford wiper posts come straight out of the body below the windshield, so the designers put a small bend in the arm so the wiper blade will sit flush with the frame. Since the Lincoln has chrome wiper towers which clears the windshield frame they use a wiper arm without the bend in them. Also I believe the Ford arms are shorter. The Ford arms will work, Since they fits the posts but will sit awkward. I'm still looking for a straight pair. Are the ones from Sacromento straight? Best of luck. Keith

They do have the bent and straight style in 3 different lengths. an if they dont have them try Bob Drake ford he has the same parts and he is online.

WiperMan.com, Ficken Wiper Service. He rebuilds trico wiper motors, and sells blades both NOS and repro. The repro blades look just like the originals.

Hey, thanks for the heads up on the "wiperman". Vintage Ford and Bob Drake can't help us on the arms. The "wiperman" specializes in old systems and we might get lucky? I e-mailed them tonite. Dee
