R W Burgess
Yes folks, last week all of us showed up on Rick's doorstep(me literally) to take in the good food, good times, and some of the bad jokes. We all showed up in disguise to protect our identity. The costumes were so crazy, as it's close to Halloween, you could almost say they were as scary as a bunch of ugly dogs. We came well prepared too, with our doggie "bags". Wayne
R W Burgess
Yes, Pedro, Ron Flory and I searched and searched for "Ol Rick", me just to get a free invite to his party. We finally found him "hiding" inside the Coker Tire Trailer, so as to get out of work, I'd venture a guess. Yes, I know, he tells all you guys how hard he works at these big Hershey shows, but we've got the goods on him. Just check out this picture as he protests about having to go back to work. Wayne
R W Burgess
I'm in the process of posting all of the pictures I took at Hershey on Wednesday of last week. They will all be on the "Gallery" under the Hershey 2003 site. Please make comments or corrections on the gallery site. I'll make corrections, if I get the names wrong, just let me know. Here's one more of Bruce Wheeler and a fellow, or should I say notorious fellow from out west way, Cheyenne as a matter of fact. Wayne

R W Burgess
Any of you guys that find a mistake in the gallery on my part, please let me know so I can correct it. Also, please fill free to make comments on the Picture Gallery as it points out things that some of us don't notice about a picture. Like Howard's Krispy Kreme Picture. I never raised my head up to see it. Wayne
R W Burgess
Well, our friend, Howard, is home. I'm bring this to the top to get his take on the reception committee at Rick's place in the first post attachment. 'OL Howard doesn't know the fun he missed this time. W.
Guest
The old phart on the left don't look too bright do he? This refers to the picture of Bruce and some other guy slumped in chairs in a flea market space. The pic is attached to Wayne's third post on this thread.
R W Burgess
Howard, I haven't said a word about this, but since you opened the door. That hat you were wearing? Now, I saw pictures of your home, the furnituring, the nice antiques, and the rugs. Now, I don't remember seeing a stuffed animal head, a bear rug, or any kind of other "wild" animal that should go along with a fellow that wears a hat like "that"! Does that hat signify some else totally different? I understand it's a Hershey favorite, by the way. Wayne
Guest
Wayne ~ I have a mounted jackalope head above my den door. I wear the hat in his honor. ~ hvs
Guest rcirilli
Darn I bet that is the one that got away from me in Arizona last time I was there. I've heard they can really migrate.
R W Burgess
Rcirilli, I wouldn't even know one if I saw it. I bagged my first white tail deer for the season last week though. Destoyed my $500.00 bumper, but then it do him any good either. The trailer tires went bump-a-dee bump. Wayne
novaman
Wayne, am I right in, instead of using a Remmington or Winchester you used a Peterbuilt model to bag him?
R W Burgess
That's right, Nova. A common occurance in this area. Bambi lost this time. Wayne
novaman
Wayne, you might need to do like a guy my dad told me about. Built a "grille guard for his rig using 3" boiler pipe with about 1'-2' between it and the grille. This guy ran rt.15 from the NY/PA state line to Williamsport/Sunbury at night back when 15 was just two lane. He'd pull in sometimes with 4 or 5 deer attached to that rack. Bag 'em and keep on truckin'.
R W Burgess
Come on now Dave. No self respecting Peterbilt would have that Canadian Moose Cradle(sorry about that you fellows up north) bolted on their bumper. You know what they say, "If you drive the Class, you better have the Cash!" Wayne
Guest
Wayne ~ What you need is one of those contraptions like they mount on the front end of those "road trains" they run in the outback in Australia. They use them to deflect 'roos from coming through the grille, radiator and windshield.I had a couple of those "road trains" come at me near Alice Springs doing about 90, and it like to scared me to death. Your Peterbilt is a VW bus compared to those rigs.hvs
R W Burgess
You're right Howard. We have trucks come down here from Vermont and Canada with the same deal, but man, they sure don't look very cool. I wonder how long it takes to get that 120,000lbs or more load rolling? W. Rick Hoover
Not as long as it takes to back you up into a parking space!(Sorry Wayne, I just couldn't resist.)
