I'm new to Zephers and the forum, and seeking to obtain some way (specific vehicle features or a web site) to identify exactly the year and model of what I believe to be a 39 Zepher coupe. Is it a standard 3 passenger coupe or a series K, or something else? The old cars price guide I have identifies several. I have the serial number and body ID number if it helps. It sure appears to be similar to the 39 Zepher in a couple of the pictures I found on this site. But, I understand this vehicle was made for a few years during this era. imported_Phil Knapp Posted September 26, 2003 Share Posted September 26, 2003 Hi Great48,96H identifies this car as a 1939 Lincoln Zephyr.72 is the body type, 3-window coupe.1206 is the sequential production number of this body style.There should be a VIN on the left side of the front crossmember, beginnng with an H followed by five numbers. Just came in from washing my 57 Ranchero. Going to a our public high school's six-man football game tonight. We are one of 100+ high schools in Texas that don't have enough students for 11 man football. Think if it as basketball on grass, fast and lots of scoring. Nebraska usually has about a dozen six-man kids on their teams. Anyway, going to pull my restored 57 up to the field, back it up to the fence along the sidelines and watch the game from a couple of lawnchairs in the bed. Not much better way to enjoy a fall evening. And welcome all the new folks to the forum. Mine is a 37 Zephyr 4-Door that is just a good driver right now. I'm still trying to obtain some pictures, and as soon as I do, I'll post a few. I'd sure like an experienced eye or two to offer an opinion on its value.
