Roadster90 Posted July 9, 2003 Share Posted July 9, 2003 Reporting for the search function of the forum....90 Coupe with 86000 miles. Noise that sounded similar to loose and or separating exhaust or other falling off equipment on tiny / light road ripples / bumps to larger road imperfections. Noise could not be duplicated or detected by bouncing on fenders or prying. Baffeled all "technicians" that attempted to diagnosis - afraid to make a definitive diagnosis - lacking expertise...product knowledge as usual. Several possibilities from cradle bushings to other rubber bushings/insulators, but main problem was struts and bearings / plates. Also was talked into some sway bar links but 99 % of the problem were the struts and bearings - they were totally shot with that mileage <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />.
