imported_Phil Knapp
Hi Dale,I was just reading an article in the September, 1998 issue of Cars & Parts magazine about the 1939 Lincoln Zephyr. It's a very interesting article - makes me want to run out and buy a 1939 Zephyr! The text states that the trunk light is turned on when the spare tire carrier is flipped out. I can't verify this since I don't own a 1939 Zephyr at this time.Phil
AceCollins
The switch is released when the spare tire is flipped out on my 1937. So I would anticipate it being that way on the 39 as well.

AceCollins
Merv Atkins will have one, I am sure. Check the LZ owners page for contacts. He is listed there.Ace
DizzyDale
Dear Ace,I Discussed THE switch with Merv, told me it is one of the hardest parts to find, figure i will follow his suggestion and make one out of a stoplight switch. Thanks for your input, diz
AceCollins
It should be no problem to make. My car will be back home late next week, having the engine rebuilt right now. If you need a picture of where the switch is located, etc. on my 37 to use as a guide, please email me at ace@acecollins.com. I will take one from a couple of different angles the day it comes back.
