Guest Randy Berger
Does anyone know what kind of gear lube to use in the differential and transmission on a 1931 Hudson Greater Eight? I know enough to know you shouldn't use EP gear oil in anything that has bronze or brass parts, and I know about as much about Hudson internals as I know about nuclear power plants. Posted for a friend who thanks everyone for their responses in advance. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />YFAM, Randy Berger
Guest JT
Randy, I have wondered if a mobil 1 product would work in a situation such as yours. I have used this gear oil in the past for an industrial application with bronze bearings but never got around to contacting Mobil 1 to ask about use in a car :http://www.mobil.com/USA-English/Lubes/PDS/GLXXENINDMOMobilgearSHCSeries.asp
