Guest Posted April 21, 2003 Share Posted April 21, 2003 My '56 speedometer works fine up to about 30 miles per hour. At that point, it begins to make a noise that sounds like a fan with a card attached to one of the blades (regular slapping sound) and the indicator moves quickly to the max level. Does this sound like a cable problem or something in the unit? If a cable, what should a replacement cost (I see one on Ebay as we speak).
