Along the edge of the red lens, there might be an ID code to identify it as a CPD corporate item, followed by a dash and a two digit number that usually corresponded to the first model year of use (i.e., -60 would be 1960). Similar to what you'd find on the other signal/stop/turn lamp lenses on the vehicle.

There also might be some further identification on the back or mounting side with casting numbers and possibly a date code too (not sure of how the date code might be configured, though).

Just some thoughts . . .
