fuel pumps

I have had 7 GM cars with the 3800 fuel injection system like the Reatta. For some reason I have never found a fuel pump other than the GM delco that lasts more than a couple of months.

They are a few bucks more but just put the Delco in.

Check the tank for rust, Especially around the filler neck and the seams.

Change the fuel filter often, It solves a lot of problems.

On a Taurus SHO I had a fuel pump go out just off warranty and the Dealer wouldn't help. I did it myself on the drive and used the cheapest one I could find. When sold to the insurance company after a hit and run accident it had lasted 2 times the original. If replacement is less than 1/2 stock and you are providing the labor I would go with cheapo.
