imported_Phil Knapp
I received this e-mail from the classiclincolns.com mail list.----- Original Message ----- From: "James Simmons" <sevenlincolns@yahoo.com>To: <texaslincolns@yahoogroups.com>Cc: <lincoln@yahoogroups.com>; <classic_chassis@yahoogroups.com>Sent: Saturday, February 22, 2003 12:15 AMSubject: [texaslincolns] Pampa Auction> Well, the auction has not even begun yet and this> little escapade has already proven to be a big waste> of time and money.> > The auction company is correct in their statement that> there are about 400 Lincolns at the auction site. > However, what they neglected to mention is that> virtually all of them are in a serious state of> disrepair. imported_Phil Knapp
A buddy of mine sent me this e-mail today about the Pampa auction: "I came thru Pampa last week on my way back from Colorado. There were a few of the nicer cars left in the building. A transporter was loading 4 of them going to a FORD dealer in Glendale, AZ. The remainder (6-8) would be picked up soon. The man tending to the place told me the ones in the bone yard were sold for parts. Parts would be pulled & the the rest crushed. I hate that word crushed on a FoMoCo Product. General Motors is O.K."
