ply33
Assuming that Chrysler numbers follow the same typical format as Plymouth: The C17S-2793 appears to be a body number. C17 is the correct engineering code for a 1937 Airflow. If you have a sedan (four door) that would explain the S. No real idea about the 103-353. They follow the style and format for paint and trim codes. But Plymouths typically did not have this information on the car itself. If you send your serial number and a check for $45 to the Chrysler Historical Collection, they can send you a copy of the "build card" that will tell you the original body number, engine number, paint & trim, dealer car was shipped to, etc. For more information on build cards and where to order one, check out my build card page on my web site.
