H.C.S. Clutch

I have a 1921 H.C.S. Series III touring with the Warner T-38B IFX transmission which uses the annoying multiple disc clutch. Has anyone replaced this clutch with a more conventional single plate clutch? Would anyone else be interested in this project if I were to do the research and design??? Let me know.<BR>GZ email: gzaninov@ford.com or 734-913-9762

As a follow up. I disassembled the clutch, found the lined disc to be worn and two of the unlined discs severely bent. Sent them to Fort Wayne Clutch (1-800-Clutches) and had them relined and new discs made (about 1000.00) Reassembled. The car now shifts wonderfully as if it had a single plate clutch!-GZ
