Guest Posted April 16, 2001 Share Posted April 16, 2001 Has anyone put an 8 Volt battery in their car? Has there been any electrical failure due to it? My concern is the coil in particular.I have a 40 Ford conv w/ hopped up flaathead 8. I 'm running an 8volt battery, so far no problems. I recently picked up Ford/Zephyr distributor convervion. It has L/Z 12cyl coil, will it stand up to 8 volts running thru it? Does anyone have any experience in this area,and what were your results.
