Perhaps you T&C folks can help me,
I have a '48 C-39 New Yorker that "blew a coil spring" thru the bottom of the lower control arm.
Are the lower arms & springs different for the 6 cylinder cars?
So far, I have not been able to find new replacement springs, and am contemplating possibility of using components from the six cyl "small chassis"?
Thanks!

Frank: I am sorry that I have not checked our site recently. WOW! That lower control arm must have been pretty rusty, to "blow out". I don't have my parts book at home, but I believe that the control arms themselves might be the same on the Windsor and New Yorkers. However, I believe that the joints at the ends are different, and the brakes are definitely different. There is a manufacturer of new coil springs in Kansas.
