Guest
During the 1920's, and into the 1930's, many automobile owners kept a portable suitcase-style hand-wound phonograph in the car to provide entertainment while away from home. On picnics, drives into the country and just day trips with a guy and his special girl these old portable phonographs provided music for dancing or listening.
Today these old phonographs make a great accessory for those antique cars. Period music (jazz, Charleston, etc.) is great fun at antique car shows or gatherings.
If you need repair on your old hand-wound phonograph, or steel phonograph needles, or books or Nipper dogs, contact Yesterday Once Again at yesterdayonceagain@yahoo.com Antique phonographs ARE our business.
