John
Can anyone with older parts books give me the exact years/models these 1950-52 GM "Guide" taillamp assemblies fit: Group 2.679, part #927707, may have been superceded by #928892 which is handwritten on the box. The lens is marked "Guide R-40" on one side, and "Stimsonite" on the other side. Thanks!
Fred Rawling
My 1950 and 1952 chasis parts books do not list part #927707. The 1952 book shows 928892 fits 1950 all, 1951-50-70. The lense has a part number on it also. 5939073 fits 1950-52 ser 50-70 and 5940010 fits 1951-52 ser 40. I hope this helps.

Guest oldtimer
i don't have a parts book but i do know that the r40 fit '50 super and below, the r51 fit '51 and above (i'm not sure of the model cut offs). the r51 is slightly smaller, it looks the same but jiggles around in my '50 super housing.
