Piston rings for 425

Can anyone offer advice on what type of piston ring to use in my 425 engine that I am rebuilding. The guy balancing my crankshaft says cast iron are more forgiving if the engine overheats or runs hot. His problem with the moly rings is the moly burns out and then you have two thin rails instead of a ring. The guy who sold me the rings insists the moly rings are better if they are broken in right. Who is right?
Thanks,
Don

It has been my experience that if you have rebored the engine, you will have good results with the Moly rings, but the cast rings seat quicker and seem to work better if you are reringing the standard bore. the cast rings will last in most instances for 30,000 miles and most people do not use their antique cars enough to ever wear them out.
[ 06-25-2002: Message edited by: The Old Guy ]

Yes, I did have it rebored. Does the last part of your reply mean you expect the rings to not last past 30,000 miles? Sounds like I should go ahead and install the moly rings. Thanks for the input.
