Ted "Wildcat65" Nagel
In 1955 Cadillac had an optional dual quad engine with 331 cubic inches. The carbs were 4GC Rochesters, according to the Standard Catalog of Cadillacs. They claimed 270 hp for dual 4bbl, up from 250 for 1 4bbl.
Anything is do-able, but I agree with the previous post-they are a pain, they won't run as well as a single 4bbl. Thats why I have 3 of them!
------------------
Ted Nagel
65 WildcatConvSuperWcat
65 WildcatAutoSuperWcat
65 Wildcat4spdSuperWcat
65 Riviera Wildcat 445
65 Special Wagon 455
70 GS Stage1 4speed
Guest
I agree two fours may not be the best pick for a stock 364 but they are no hassle. Ran progresive like the stock setup they are a no brainer. Now six twos........

------------------
buickfam@aol.com
Life long Buick Fan.
1965 Skylark H/T
1965 Gran Sport Convertible
1948 Chevy Pickup with 401 Buick.
"Fan of anything that moves human beings"
Guest
why would you want to? you would have to run a pair of 450 cfm carbs to keep the torque usable, probably need more lift/duration on both intake and exhaust, as well as increasing the overlap, and the net gain will be a non-streetable engine.
dual quads might look nice, but they are really unneeded if your single quad manifold and carb can flow enough cfm (a single 750 is as big as i would go on a 364 with dynaflow)
what makes you think you need the headache of TWO carbs???
allan

Guest
Miked, same as the two fours, you run them progresive so you are just on the center carb until you mash the pedal. Then the other two open and you get the big rush, cool stuff!
------------------
buickfam@aol.com
Life long Buick Fan.
1965 Skylark H/T
1965 Gran Sport Convertible
1948 Chevy Pickup with 401 Buick.
"Fan of anything that moves human beings"
