build sheet

I read the inquirey on the build sheet for a 71?car. I have a 97 Riv that I tried to get the original build sheet from the dealer. I was told that only the original selling dealer could get that and they did not want to be bothered. Can Buick Motor Division do the job or would someone within the club be a better option?<P>------------------<BR>455 Ken

I just sold my '96 Cavalier and find that I still have the build sheet in my car files.<P>Evidently, it was in with the other papers that I got from the dealer at the time or purchase. Would expect that your '97 GM car worked the same way. Check all your paperwork.<P>My impression was that the build sheets were usually either in the car or with the other papers, and not something that the dealer would keep copies of.<BR><P>------------------<BR>
